African Dwarf Frogs

A african dwarf frog is a small aquatic frog it is often kept as a pet because it is easy to care for. On this you will read about african dwarf frogs. African dwarf frogs don't like tank mates but here are some tips, don't get any large fish that will hurt your frog or eat it don't get goldfish they need cold water while the frogs need warm water two good tank mates another african dwarf frog these frogs like company, betas will not hurt your african dwarf frogs though they have been known to attack other fish but it will not attack your frog because the frog is not colorful betas only attack if it is colorful. do not put african clawed frogs in there they will hurt your frog, also don't put any amphibians in the tank they can poison your frog. Gravel at the bottom of the tank is good it makes the tank look good but it also makes the tank harder to clean out plants are also very important the frogs hide in the plants make sure you get plants if you get a fish Terra Cora pots can be purchased from a craft store for 50 cents turned sideways it is a good hideout for them. These frogs are fully aquatic but doesn't mean there the best swimmers sixteen inches high of water is good but one foot high is the best spring water is the best water for them or tap water with conditioner is good put Aqua Safe in the tap water or Reptisafe will work.
